Panels 1 and 2: I'm planning on researching and writing an article comparing standard phantom limbs (those of amputees, as in panel one) and the phantom limbs of therianthropes (as in panel two) as well as comparing the various explanations for why they happen. I've already read a bit, and it's absolutely fascinating stuff.
