I've seen this topic has come up many times on the various forums, newsgroups, and blogs where therianthropes and otherkin are discussed. I've seen each of the represented hopes and worries mentioned a couple times. The common assumption is that there aren't any books on therianthropes or otherkin. Actually, some books already mention it! I've been gathering together a list of all those books. Many other authors have come through proposing to write a book on the subject, so that has always been a familiar sight... generally, no books have come of those visits. I scripted and sketched this comic back in March, before I'd heard much about Lupa's upcoming book, A Field Guide to Otherkin, so this isn't a reference to it. Lupa's book will be published next year... it looks like this one won't be vanishing on us. Note that I used the therianthrope theta-delta symbol on the hypothetical book cover only because it's a simpler design than the otherkin seven-pointed star. I judged that it was more likely to be discernible when the comic was reduced to a smaller size after inking.
